Separate the levers
Consider new-customer rent, agreed rent reviews, promotion depth and the mix of available sizes. Change them deliberately and keep the effective dates. Multiple simultaneous changes make it harder to understand the result.
Compare a defined period
Use contracted rent, cash collected and discounts for the same period. If analysing revenue per available area, use a consistent denominator and state whether the number is monthly or annual. Vacant inventory still affects capacity.
See rate and occupancy changes in one dashboard
You can only manage revenue you can measure. The Unit Manager Pro reporting dashboard shows occupancy, revenue and arrears from the same records you bill from, so you can compare a defined period before and after a rate or discount change.
Test a downside
Model what happens if a higher rate reduces demand or a discount produces short tenancies. Include costs that rise with occupancy. A £10 increase on one unit is not automatically £10 of additional profit after all effects.
Apply owner decisions carefully
Use the pricing strategy guide and review existing agreement requirements before changing rents. Inspect the scheduled amount and first affected bill. Reporting can inform decisions without being an automatic repricing system.

Frequently asked questions
What is self storage revenue management?
Managing rates, discounts and capacity together: when to raise rents, when to discount and how occupancy and collected revenue respond.
Does Unit Manager Pro change prices automatically?
Owner-set scheduled changes are supported. Automatic pricing driven by demand is a different product and should not be assumed.
