Make site one repeatable

Document booking, billing, inspections, support and incident handling. Identify who can run each process when you are elsewhere. A high occupancy number alone does not prove readiness to expand.

Assess the new catchment

Research demand, competitors, access and the suitability of the proposed site. Distance from site one is one input, not a universal 15–30-minute rule. Check whether the sites compete for the same customers.

Test the funding and staffing

Model setup spend, slower lease-up and the cost of managing two locations. Keep finance and tax separate where a calculator excludes them. Assign responsibility for each site’s physical work and customer support.

Confirm software scope

Use the multi-site requirements checklist. In UMP, a second site can be added to the same account on request, with its own units, prices, timezone, notices, staff and landing page on your existing website. Test the setup with the team before you open.
