What information should I provide?

  • Gate or lock manufacturer, controller model and current management software.
  • How tenants enter today: keypad, fob, mobile app or another method.
  • Whether your installer provides an API or integration service, and any licence charges.
  • Your rules for move-in, overdue balances, restoring access and emergency overrides.

What needs to be demonstrated?

Ask for a complete test on the proposed hardware: create access, change a tenant's status, restore access and revoke it at move-out. Confirm what happens during a network outage and who can override the automation. Software billing status alone does not prove a physical gate has updated.

Can I run an unmanned facility?

Online booking, payment automation and a tenant portal can reduce administration. Unmanned operation also depends on working access hardware, local procedures and a way for customers to get help. Agree the hardware scope and responsibilities before making an operating decision.

Make compatibility a buying condition

Get confirmation of the supported hardware, any integration work and fees, and the acceptance test before switching. A planned integration is not an available feature.
